Reportage Epoque at Meydan Horizon Dubai

Epoque by Reportage Properties is a 60-home waterfront building in Meydan Horizon, planned as a mixed-use address with retail outlets on its glazed ground floor. A promenade and a long boardwalk connect that ground floor to the lagoon edge. The design draws on classic architecture, with balanced proportions and simple detailing. Landscaped areas and open water surround the site.

Reportage launched Epoque together with The Verso as its first 2 projects in Meydan Horizon.

The building has 2 basement levels, a podium and 6 floors, a height that keeps it at a human scale. Light stone-textured surfaces form the façade, broken up by deep bronze and warm timber-coloured verticals. Glass-edged balconies line the outer edges, and a pergola crown wraps the roofline, adding shade.

Kitchens are delivered with fitted cabinets and countertops. Bathrooms, en-suites and guest toilets are fully tiled, with fitted vanities and mirrors. Bedrooms come with built-in wardrobes, and some have a private bathroom. Every room is wired for high-speed internet, and a satellite master antenna system with fibre optic is included. Double glazing controls sound and heat, while central air conditioning cools each home.

Epoque offers 8 layout types in total. The 1 bedroom homes come in Type A and Type B, measuring 545.95 to 598.80 sq ft, while the 2 bedroom homes come in Type A to Type F, sized 775.65 to 1,115.68 sq ft. Of all the homes, 45 have 2 bedrooms and 15 have 1 bedroom. Every unit type is listed with a balcony.

Residents share a large swimming pool, a kids' swimming pool, a splash pad and kids' play areas, which together form a family zone on site. A gymnasium covers daily fitness, and foosball and ping pong tables add a social space. A residents' lounge and shaded seating areas offer quiet places to relax, while landscaped areas and a waterside promenade give room to walk.

Epoque has a 10% down payment on the booking date, then 1% every month during construction. Handover is scheduled for Q4 2029. Service charges for the building have not been published yet.

Both projects share a developer and a handover window, so the choice comes down to scale and budget. The Verso suits buyers who want a lower entry price in a taller tower, while Epoque suits buyers who prefer a low-rise design.

Sobha Hartland already has 2 international schools inside the community. Meydan Horizon is at an earlier stage of build-out, which buyers should factor into their move-in plans.

• Dubai Metro Blue Line: the 30 km line is set to open on 9 September 2029 with 14 stations, including stops at Ras Al Khor and Dubai Creek Harbour.
• Al Vista by Dubai Investments: a 39 floor residential tower with 312 apartments and a 19 floor office tower with about 120,000 sq.ft. of office space, inside Meydan Horizon. Completion is targeted for Q1 2028.
• Community Canal and Central Park: the master plan includes a 2 km canal and a 320,000 sq.ft. central park.
• What to weigh: several more residential towers are planned in Meydan Horizon. They will bring more residents and shops, but also more rental homes competing with Epoque when it is handed over.
